Joseph Rodriguez
About Me
Joseph Rodriguez is an international orchestral musician, recitalist and teacher. Mr. Rodriguez is Second/Assistant Principal Trombonist in the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. He has held positions with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Zurich at the Zurich Opera House and has served on the faculties of University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), The Ohio State University, Northern Illinois University, Concordia University, Wheaton College Conservatory of Music and the Marrowstone Music Festival. He has performed or recorded with many major symphony orchestras including Chicago, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, and the National Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Rodriguez is the first trombonist to receive the prestigious Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School and holds degrees from DePaul University and the University of Texas at Arlington. His teachers include Joseph Alessi, Mark Fisher, Jay Friedman, Charles Vernon, Darren McHenry, Dennis Bubert and Andrew Russell. He is married to the amazing hornist, Margaret Tung.
